Each member of the senior management team has extensive experience in sales and marketing, business development, finance, accounting, corporate operations management and information technology. Kevin C. Coleman Kevin C. Coleman is Chief Executive Officer and President. Under Kevin's leadership CRG has grown from a startup to a top provider of primary research in the financial services industry. Before Kevin founded CRG he was Vice President of Sales and a member of the management team at Multex, a global financial information provider that went public in 1999 and was purchased by Reuters in March 2003. Kevin has a BA from the University of Colorado and an MBA from the FW Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College. John W. Polis John W. Polis is Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer. Brought on as CTO in January 2005 to oversee the engineering and development of Knowledge Broker™ and to build out the company's technology infrastructure, John is now also responsible for overseeing all operational areas at Coleman Research Group including research, account management, human resources, data management and information technology, in addition to directing and implementing strategic business and operational plans. Prior to joining CRG John was an owner and Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for Dotcom Distribution where he co-founded the company and managed its daily operating issues. John has a BA in Economics from NYU and an MBA in Management from Wagner College. Philippe Liautaud, Jr. Philippe joined CRG in September 2007 as the Vice President of Finance, CFO. Prior to joining CRG, Philippe was a Senior Director in the Investment Services Division, for Equity Research Services at Standard & Poor's. Philippe spent over 10 years at S&P in various roles including CFO, Group Controller, and Controller of a $150 million business unit within the Investment Services Division. Prior to S&P Philippe was an Audit Manager for Deloitte & Touche. Philippe is a CPA, and has a BA from Queens College and an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business. Brian Moroney Brian Moroney is General Counsel and Compliance Officer and joined Coleman Research Group in May of 2007. Prior to joining CRG, Brian worked at a Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver and Jacobson LLP counseling clients regarding various business issues, with an emphasis on compliance with the federal securities laws. Brian graduated from the Georgetown University Law Center in 2001 and earned his BA in 1996 from St. John's University. James V. Johnson James V. Johnson joined CRG as Vice President, Head of Institutional Sales in September 2008. With more than 18 years of diverse institutional financial sales experience, Jim most recently worked as Managing Director for NASDAQ OMX where he spearheaded the development of a new service division within the Corporate Client Group focusing on the needs of corporate boards. Prior to this, Jim was the CEO and Co-founder of ResearchWave which developed a new way to utilize artificial intelligence to recommend and rate research. Before ResearchWave, Jim held the position of International Sales Manager at Bloomberg Financial Markets where he managed large institutional account teams and regional account teams across the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean. Douglas A. Trafelet Douglas A. Trafelet is Vice President of Institutional Sales. Douglas joined CRG shortly after its inception and is the firm’s senior salesperson. He has been an influential member of the CRG team since its early years and helped to extend CRG’s presence across the U.S. and abroad. Prior to CRG he worked at Barker Capital LLC, a boutique investment bank in New York City. Before Barker Capital, he was an editor at National Geographic Magazine and a newswriter at Tribune owned WGN TV in Chicago. Douglas holds a BA from Kenyon College and an MBA University of Chicago.
