So much has changed in the 7 years that I have been with Coleman. I have held a variety of positions, been in different departments and offices, and have learned and leveraged a number of skills. When I joined in 2009, we had 3 offices and roughly 60 employees (we are now in 7 offices and have more than 220 employees globally). I started as an Associate in New York City and a year later, became a Project Manager for a team that coordinated global projects. In 2011, the timing was right professionally and personally to move to Raleigh to help open and grow our 2nd US location. Since then, I have conducted hundreds of interviews, run 3 Research verticals and trained countless new hires.
In late 2015, I transitioned to manage our global Quality Assurance and Training program, which is part of our Product department. On the QA side, my team standardizes best practices on Expert recruitment and Project Fulfillment and performs internal reviews on employee performance to allow for career growth. We also measure Key Performance Indicators and communicate our findings to the company globally. On the Training side, my team onboards new hires in the Client Management department. This four week “training camp” consists of classroom training, e-learning and various interactive exercises. We also provide ongoing training and support for more tenured employees as well as other departments.
I have truly enjoyed my time at Coleman, not only because my roles have changed and responsibilities have increased, but because I am challenged in every role, and always find new ways to leverage Coleman’s culture and growth opportunities. In 2016, I traveled to our Gdansk, Poland office to pick up the tail end of a training class, which was a wonderful experience professionally, and as a travel hound, a great chance to get back to Europe! And just recently in 2017, I passed the Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, for which I was able to take advantage of Coleman’s Educational Assistance Program to help defray the costs of the course and exam fee. I am grateful that I have been able to have flexible roles (especially as a working mother!) as well as take advantage of various opportunities that Coleman offers.
